The Dead Weather at the Vic-July 28th, 2009

 I've come to the conclusion that any band Jack White is part of will automatically be spectacular. At first was pretty weird seeing him behind the drum set but after awhile it was as if he had always been playing them. I think it's awesome when an artist steps back from being the main focus and let's someone else get the spotlight. This supergroup included lead singer Allison Mosshart from the Kills, keyboard player Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age, and bassist Jack Lawrence from the Raconteurs and the Greenhornes. Allison Mosshart is a crazy performer, half the time I thought she was going to fall off the stage! She had super high heels on and a leopard print cardigan with black skinny jeans. I had heard of her other band the Kills but never heard any of their music, like the White Stripes they are also a duo consisting of guitar and vocals. The band had great energy and kept the crowd moving the whole time! All of their songs had a cool guitar and rhythm section. At one point Jack was bent over the keyboard and resembled a mad scientist haha it made me laugh. :) I'm pretty proud of the pictures I took, I got some good ones!
